BALLET fans in Evesham are set for an Easter treat when a world renowned dance company come to town to perform their live production of Cinderella.

Vienna Festival Ballet’s classic fairytale will be performed at Evesham Arts Centre on Easter Monday, April 17.

The story tells the tale of a mistreated young girl, a glass slipper, two comical ugly step-sisters and a handsome prince – who all combine to make the perfect piece of story-telling through dance.

With a collection of music from the great Italian composer Gioachino Rossini, a magical melange of tunes will astonish and amaze all.

Audiences will recognise some of Rossini’s most famous operas, with La Cenerentola, The Italian Girl in Algiers and The Silken Ladder all adding to the magical fantasy world of Cinderella.

Sheila Styles, one of the company’s most expert and idiosyncratic choreographers, has created the perfect ballet experience so this really is an event not to be missed.

Cinderella sticks to the traditional story and the ballet will aim to reach out to everyone’s heart, with its combination of pure classical dancing and a touch of pantomime.

The event starts at 5pm and tickets cost £20 for adults, £18 for concessions and £13 for children.

Call the centre’s Box Office on 01386 446944 or visit www.eveshamartscentre.co.uk for more information.
