A HOMAGE to one of the pioneering figures of mid-1950s rock and roll will take to the stage at Evesham Arts Centre when Buddy Holly and the Cricketers come to town.
The show has delighted audiences across the globe from Cardiff to California, Barking to Bangkok and Swindon to Sweden for the past 26 years and stars some of the finest actor-musicians in the UK.
Buddy Holly and the Cricketers were endorsed as Britain’s most popular Buddy Holly act when they guested on BBC One’s Saturday night live programme, The One and Only, hosted by Graham Norton.
With authentic arrangements, driving rhythms, energetic performances and musicianship, the group aim to present Buddy in the style of show they feel he would perform today.
Music lovers can hear all the hits from Buddy’s back catalogue during the show on Sunday, March 22 from 7.30pm.
