ONE OF the greatest UK folk artists of this generation is heading to Evesham to launch her new album.

Acclaimed singer/songwriter Ange Hardy, along with talented multi-instrumentalist Lukas Drinkwater, will perform ‘Findings’ at Evesham Arts Centre’s renowned ‘Folk in the Foyer’ on Thursday, September 29.

The pair have been stunning audiences all over the UK and have rapidly gained a reputation as a phenomenon on the indie and folk music circuit.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2013, Ange has racked up an impressive array of awards including a nomination at last year’s BBC Radio Two ‘Folk Awards’ and has won three consecutive ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ awards.

The duo will perform live with a staggering range of ever-changing instruments and equipment, including a 27-string harp, four different guitars, a double bass, an array of traditional whistles, a stomp box, two loop pedals and even an Indian shruti box.

Folk broadcaster Mike Harding referred to Ange as one of the most interesting, powerful and talented singers and songwriters to come out of recent years.

And this new tour with Lukas seems certain to cement their position as two of this generation’s greatest performers.

So come along and enjoy the very best of the folk genre. You won’t be disappointed.

The duo will be supported by local singer/songwriter Mike Weaver.

The event starts at 8pm and tickets cost £10 per person and £9 for centre members.
