IT IS NOT just the weather which hots up in Evesham over the coming months as the town’s popular Arts Centre delivers a wide range of top class entertainment to the town.

Evesham Arts Centre’s summer programme has been released with the likes of Lee Evans, Marty Wilde and the Wildcats, Jethro and more stars from the entertainment world coming to Evesham as the barbecue weather comes alive.

In terms of music, it’s a rock ‘n’ roll start to the season at the Victoria Avenue building with Britain’s original pop star Marty Wilde igniting audiences in May with hits from the ‘50s and ‘60s.

Brit Pop takes over later in the month with top tribute act OASIS UK performing the iconic hits of the ‘90s band.

Bretforton Silver Band treat audiences to a Spring Concert in May too, while Brass, Pipes and Drums sound out at the end of the month in support of Evesham’s Bell Tower Appeal.

There’s a whole summer of laughter at the Arts Centre this season with one of its strongest ever comedy line-ups.

Lee Evans tops the bill in May for his sold-out show and hot on the heels will be eight award-winning comedians battling it out to be crowned ‘Comedy King of Evesham’ in It’s a Cracker in aid of Phoenix Theatre Group.

Jethro brings his unique comedy style to Evesham with his ‘Legend at Large’ tour in June while the ever-popular Edinburgh previews featuring Joe Lycett, Will Mars, Stephen Carlin and ‘Ian D Montfort’, together with new talent showcased in the

venue’s Raw Comedy nights, guarantee audiences a good laugh.

There’s plenty of drama too as Evesham Arts Centre hosts the prestigious All England Theatre Festival Final for the first time in June. And Madcap Theatre return with their high-energy production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.

And in dance local talent features with Hilary Saxby School of Dance, Vale Dance and De Novo Dance each showcasing their students in three very different productions.
