PERSHORE High School Sixth Form Centre duo Ruth Bennett and Meg Bradley turned on the style to earn success at the British Junior Canoe Sprint Regatta at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham.

Bennett, 17, of Wyre Piddle, is now the C1 Junior National champion at 200m sprint after winning the gold medal, whilst Bradley, 16, of Fladbury, won a bronze medal over the same distance.

The pair are also Junior National C2 champions for 200m and 500m after both won gold medals and Bennett also clinched a silver medal in the C1 500m.

The teenagers are both members of Fladbury Paddle Club and their coach Andy Train has revealed he has received a call from British Canoeing to say Bennett has been selected to represent Great Britain at the International Regatta in Hungary at the end of September.
