WORCESTERSHIRE Acute Hospitals NHS Trust has asked people to recognise their hospital heroes by nominating them for the Patients’ Choice Award.

Those nominated will be put forward for this autumn’s ‘Recognition Awards’, which will celebrate the work done by staff and volunteers across Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

People can nominate a member of staff, a team, or a Trust volunteer from the Alexandra Hospital, Kidderminster Hospital and Treatment Centre or Worcestershire Royal Hospital who has gone above and beyond their day to day duties to help care for you or a loved one.

Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust chief executive Matthew Hopkins said: “As we enter the third year of the Covid pandemic, our teams across our hospitals remain resolutely focussed on putting our patients first despite the many challenges they face.

“They can, and should, feel proud of the many ways in which they have worked together to overcome these challenges.

“Our awards ceremony is an important opportunity to reflect on everything they have achieved and to say thank you for their commitment, courage and compassion.”

Head of Fundraising and Community Development Sophie Burt added that the Trust is looking forward to hearing the wonderful stories of efforts made by staff to give patients the best care possible.
