More in the Vale set to gain from full fibre broadband

BADSEY and Pershore have joined the Worcestershire towns with ultrafast full fibre broadband after a £14.1million investment from FullFibre’s Fibre Heroes project went live.

This long-anticipated upgrade to the current network means residents in both towns alongside will now have access to 100 per cent fibre optic ultrafast internet as it rolls out across the towns. This is in addition to the eight towns already going live in the county, including Bewdley, Droitwich, Evesham, Offenham and The Littletons, Salwarpe, Stourport-on-Severn and Wychbold.

The new ultrafast services will provide more dependable internet connections, with 1Gbps download speeds that are 20 times faster than the national average.

CSO of Fibre Heroes, James Warner, said: “We are really proud to be rolling out our wholesale only fibre network in these three key towns, and adding to the seven towns we are already live and building in in Worcestershire.

“The internet is an integral part of daily life, and it has a real impact on how communities operate and the way we live our lives. Everyone has the right to the best internet connection possible, and we can’t wait to serve that through our partner community to local residents”.

Local business and residents in Badsey, Malvern and Pershore can access these new services through any broadband provider active in these areas, including Air Broadband, BeFibre, IDNet, Gigabit Networks, Link Broadband, Merula, OctaPlus, Redline, Squirrel, and ZYBRE.
