‘ENGLAND will win Euro 2024 in Harry Kane’s year to shine’ – that’s the view of The Asparamancer who makes predictions using Vale of Evesham asparagus.

Jemima Packington revealed all earlier today after ‘casting her spears’ and asking about the forthcoming tournament.

Jemima, who says ‘Vale Grass’ is the best ever’, forecasts that Three Lions’ fans will have a summer to remember and advises people to book off July 15 (the day after the final) ‘as there will be a lot of sore heads’.

She said: “Football’s coming home and this is Harry Kane’s year – he has had some bad luck with his clubs and trophies but this is his year to shine.”

Jemima carries out her predictions by ‘casting’ the spears onto a flat surface and then interpreting the patterns they make.

She said: “For example, if it is to do with royalty, they form a crown and a broken circle of spears can forecast the breakdown in a relationship.”

Jemima discovered her gift when she was aged around eight or nine.

“Kids are naturally greedy and I was no different – my ma would cook the asparagus and slather it in butter.

“I would grab a handful and it would slip through my fingers – when it fell, it would make patterns and I would comment on the shapes made and then we noticed they were indicitative of something happening.”

Jemima said over the years she had used the asparagus to predict Brexit, Megxit, the Queen’s death, royal births, royal divorces and a host of other things from the world of sport and politics.

“The Vale Grass has a 95 per cent accuracy rate – the last time there was a French election, I was flown over there and predicted Macron’s victory.

“I’m expecting a call in the next couple of weeks to do this latest one.”

On the UK general election she said the asparagus was not predicting great things for Rishi Sunak or Sir Keir Starmer.

“When I cast the Rishi Sunak asparagus, it fell on the floor and I thought ‘he’s toast’.”

On Starmer she added: “Back in January I forecast he would not be the Labour leader at the time of the general election and I still think that will be the case.

“It is going to be a very interesting summer.”
