A PUBLIC meeting is being held in Evesham to discuss a major blueprint on the future of health services in Worcestershire and the impact it will have on the town.
Key members behind the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Sustainability and Transformation Partnership will be at Evesham Community Hospital tonight from 6.30pm to answer resident’s questions.
The STP sets out a five-year vision for health services in the county, which includes changes to community hospital services.
It covers all aspects of health and care, including mental health, elective care and urgent and emergency services and is one of 44 STPs being developed across the country.
The public meeting, which is being held in the hospital’s conference room, is being chaired by Michael Worrall, Chair of the cross-party panel who have helped organise the meeting.
Residents who attend the meeting will get the chance to find out what impact the STP will have on Evesham. This includes an update on the plans for town’s community hospital and health chiefs’ strategy to provide as many services as possible in the community.
Sarah Dugan, who leads the Herefordshire & Worcestershire STP, said: “Since the draft plan was launched we have been out and spoken to lots of groups and stakeholders to get views and thoughts on the plan in its broadest sense.
“This is another opportunity for people in Evesham to come and ask questions and find out more and we are looking forward to a helpful and constructive event.”
