Evesham man arrested and released after teenager threatened

AN EVESHAM man was arrested and released under investigation after a teenage boy was threatened in the Cotswolds this summer.

A 17-year-old boy was approached around 11pm on Friday, August 12 by an unknown man who proceeded to threaten him while on Station Road in Moreton-In-Marsh.

The incident was reported to police a few days later and officers conducted interviews, CCTV and house to house enquiries.

A 30-year-old man from Evesham was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been released from police custody under investigation.




As enquiries have progressed, officers are now in a position to appeal to the public for any information.

They are particularly keen to hear from a man who is believed to have walked past at the time. The offender is also suspected to have made comments towards them and this witness may have vital information.


The witness is described as being white, with grey hair and was wearing shorts and likely a blue t-shirt.

Officers are also keen to speak to the occupants of a car which stopped near the railway bridge, as it has been reported that the offender shouted at them.
