A QUIZ night in Evesham has helped raised over £650 for the Mayor’s Charity Appeal.
The charity fun night held at Hampton Working Mens’ Club on Friday, June 14 helped raise £655 for Evesham Adventure Playground, Wallace House Community Centre and Ourside Youth Centre.
The three charities are Mayor of Evesham Councillor Robert Raphael’s beneficiaries.
Themed rounds included ‘Ikea? or like Keir?’ where players had to guess whether Scandinavian words were products from the famous Swedish store or candidates in the forthcoming general election a further round was entirely dedicated to Mayors, real and fictional.
Mayor Coun Raphael said: “As well as raising funds for three worthy causes, the event was a chance to showcase Hampton Club and what a wonderful place it is in the heart of Hampton.”
Another quiz night will be hosted at Bengeworth Club on Friday, September 20.
