A VALE fund-raising family are holding their biggest ever craft fair in November in aid of local charities and are aiming big.

Mandy Edwards and her family of Celandine Way, Evesham have raised money for charity for the last 18 years.

She said: “We have always raised money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital, where my newly born daughter Beth received life saving heart surgery in 2004.

“However in recent years we have split donations with the hospital and Cheltenham based Cotswold Riding for the Disabled, where Beth rides and does work experience. Last year we donated £2,400 however this year we’re aiming for £3,000 with local resident’s help”

Mandy and an army of volunteers will host the Christmas Charity Craft and Gift Fair at Leedons Park Childswickham WR12 7HB next Saturday (November 11) from 10am to 3pm.

There are 14 crafty people displaying their wares, with lots of ideas for Christmas presents. With free entry, tea, cake, bottle tombola and raffle it makes for a great day out. Mandy adds: “We tend to be busiest in the mornings with the afternoon best to browse stalls more comfortably”

The prize raffle, drawn at the end of the event, has even bigger prizes this year with horse racing days out, cream teas, an ice cream maker and loads of family theme park tickets, all donated by generous local businesses.

If anyone can’t make the event, but wants to enter the raffle – all the ticket money will be donated – can buy raffle tickets by texting Mandy’s husband, Bryan on 07747 602215.
