A PATRIOTIC performance of British classics by Bretforton Silver Band rounded off an evening brimming with community spirit and good vibes on Saturday night.
The fun-filled family event saw hundreds of friends and families gather at the recreation ground with picnics for the annual Bretforton Village Proms.
The evening was compared by Fleece Inn landlord Nigel Smith who joined duo Billy and Trudy in song to kickstart the entertainment.

A surprise act was a colourful and dynamic Bangra performance featuring workers from Vicarage Nurseries.
Local talent Crisp Addiction and Lockdown Layabouts also helped to get the audience on their feet and dance the night away.
Organiser Amy Jelfs said the event was a fantastic success helped by the wonderful weather that helped bring out the crowds.
“One of the highlights of the evening was Vicarage Nurseries doing a Bangra mash up.
“I’ve never seen the whole rec join in as much with the vibrant, diverse entertainment.
“It was fantastic to see so many families, friends and visitors enjoying an evening of great music and community spirit.
“Everyone had a great night and everyone loved all the acts.
“We will definitely be back for more flag waving and singing next year, and maybe a few more surprise acts.
Publican Nigel said was such a pleasure to be part of the amazing Bretforton community event that is the village proms.
“The event has been a village legend for over 20 years and continues to go from strength to strength, with amazing musicianship and this year the spectacle of Bangra performed by our local village workers. A true gem – roll on 2027,” he added.
A colorful display of fireworks signalled the end of the evening.
