AN EVESHAM opticians is celebrating a successful first year under new leadership.
The team at Specsavers Evesham is marking 12 months since its directors, Anna Blyth and Amit Rana came on board.
Since stepping into their roles in spring 2025, Anna and Amit have made community engagement a priority for the locally-owned and managed Bridge Street store.
Over the past twelve months, they have led a series of fundraising initiatives for the Vale of Evesham Community First Responders, raising a total of £1,500 for the volunteer organisation.
The impressive total was reached through a variety of team efforts, including a 10K run, bake sales, and a CPR relay.
Beyond fundraising, the directors have also focused on local outreach, such as launching an out-of-hours clinic to provide essential eye care for people affected by homelessness.
“Our first year leading the store has been an incredible journey, and we are so proud of the relationship we’ve built with the people of Evesham,’ said Anna.
“The way the community has rallied behind our fundraising for the first responders has been truly overwhelming, and it has made our first twelve months here even more special.”
Vale of Evesham Community First Responders provide life-saving interventions in Evesham, Pershore, Broadway and the surrounding villages.
Working in partnership with the West Midlands Ambulance Service, they receive training to allow them to offer emergency medical care until paramedics arrive on scene.
Amit added: ‘We are excited to strengthen these local connections even further as we move into our second year and continue finding ways to give back to the town that has welcomed us so warmly.”
