A CHOIR featuring singers from Evesham and Pershore will be starring in a special evening of song this Friday night, to raise vital funds for Campden Home Nursing.

Vocal High will perform An Evening of Voices on May 1 at St James’ Church, Chipping Campden in celebration of Judy Long, who was cared for at home by the independent charity.

Led by Judy’s daughter-in-law Paula Evans along with her husband, the concert also features guest vocal trio As Lark Sings, promising a rich and uplifting programme dedicated to voice.

Paula Evans said: “Campden Home Nursing made it possible for Judy to remain at home, surrounded by the people she loved, at the end of her life. The care was exceptional and deeply compassionate.

“This concert is our way of saying thank you and helping ensure other families can receive that same support. It would mean so much to see the church full on the night.”

As part of the tribute, a selection of Judy Long’s artwork will also be on display and available to purchase during the evening.

A pre-concert singing workshop at 6pm is open to all, followed by the main performance at 7.30pm. Refreshments will be served.

Tickets cost £15 adults, £10 under 18s and the workshop is an additional £10.

Available online via Eventbrite here, Vocal High, or in person in Chipping Campden at Jecca’s House or the Campden Home Nursing Charity Shop.

Campden Home Nursing has been providing hospice at home care service for 35 years, supporting patients and families across the Vale with compassionate end of life nursing, free of charge, in their own homes.
