EVESHAM United find themselves just two points above the relegation zone following an Easter Monday defeat against fellow strugglers Yate Town.
A brace from Marlon Jackson put Yate in command before Chris Zebroski scored a late penalty for the home side at Lodge Road.
That came after Evesham claimed a point in a 1-1 draw against Poole Town at the Spiers and Hartwell Stadium on Good Friday.
The Robins led through Ethan Dunbar’s goal only for Shaquille Gwengwe to level the game for the visitors from the penalty spot.
And the results mean Evesham sit 18th in the Southern League Premier South table, just two points above the drop zone with three matches left to play.
Crucially, the team directly below the Robins in the table, Taunton Town, have a game in-hand on Evesham.
Evesham fell behind against Yate five minutes before half time when Jackson rose highest to head James Taylor’s cross into the net from close range.
And Jackson struck again three minutes after the break when he nodded the ball over advancing Robins goalkeeper Alex Harris.
Yate made sure of the points on 87 minutes as Zebroski scored from the penalty spot after substitute Dani Gonzalez-Birchall drew a foul in the box.
That came after the Robins drew against play-off contenders Poole in what could prove a crucial point come the end of the campaign.
The Robins led on 28 minutes when Dunbar produced a composed finish from Andre Wright’s through ball.
However, Poole levelled the game five minutes after the break when Gwengwe scored from 12-yards after the referee adjudged Jyrel Bojang to handle the ball in the box despite furious protests from the home side.
Evesham are next in action against champions Walton and Hersham on Saturday, April 11 with kick-off at 3pm at the Spiers and Hartwell Stadium.
