BROADWAY Golf Club welcomed 16 pairs to the course for the Adult and Junior Salver – an annual highlight of the club’s calendar.
The club purchased the Salver in 2011 following a generous donation to the junior section by four visiting members from Surbiton Golf Club.
In a closely-fought competition, James Mooney and junior member Ryan Smith secured victory with a total of 45 points.
Junior player Maddie Bowers and adult partner Richard Tate finished second on 41 points
And a strong field of 83 players also contested the Archibald Renfrew Trophy.
Formerly known as the Broadway Bogey, the newly renamed honours board competition celebrates one of the club’s founding members from 1895.
Archibald Renfrew originally won the trophy, a pewter tankard, in October 1904, just nine years after the club’s formation.
His family have since donated the trophy back to the club.
And Adam Murray produced a fine round to finish on +4 to secure a clear victory with Joseph Golding second with a score of +2.
