SUPPORTERS of the Almonry are invited to attend the inaugural Friends of the Almonry Museum AGM at 6pm on Thursday, 26 March at the Wallace House.
Attendees will get to hear from museum manager Ashleigh Jayes talking about its £2.1m restoration project and find out about the Friends’ plans for the coming year.
The Friends of the Almonry Museum is an independent body which seeks to raise the profile of the building and its collections, generate funds to support its development and encourage volunteering and interest in the town’s history.
Membership costs £10 per year and in return people will receive regular news and updates from the project and participate in Friends’ activities such as talks and events.
Co-founder Lou Jayes previously told the Observer: “We just want as many people from Evesham to be part of the group and play a part in supporting the museum’s future development.” All are welcome.
