CLASSIC footage from the steam train era in the Vale of Evesham will feature in a special film presentation in Pershore next week.
Rail film archivist and presenter Michael Clemens of Pershore will be presenting another of his popular evenings with ‘Return to Steam in the Vale and Cotswolds’ at Pershore Town Hall on Friday, March 27 at 7pm.
Many memories from the 50s and 60s will be recalled with steam footage on local routes including the Cotswold Line between Hereford, Worcester and London and former through routes such as the Cheltenham to Stratford-upon-Avon line.
The Ashchurch-Evesham-Redditch route via Bredon Hill villages will also feature as well and routes from further afield.
Admission to the evening organised by local public transport campaigners Vale Bus and Rail with the Cotswold Line Promotion Group is £5 on the door. Refreshments are also available.
