THE VALE is set to welcome back an exciting community fitness event this September.
The second annual Warrior Games takes place on Saturday, 20 September at the Lenches Lakes, promising a more inclusive day of fitness, fun, and friendly competition for people of all abilities.
Following the success of its inaugural event organised by Exclusive Gym, Warrior Games is returning bigger and better, welcoming all from complete beginners to seasoned athletes.
Gyms, fitness groups, families, and individuals are all invited to take part, represent their communities, and enjoy a day out surrounded by Worcestershire’s natural beauty.
A wide range of events for all abilities includes a trail run, a train relay, swimming, children’s obstacle courses and a sports day-style games.
Organisers Phil and Martha Newbury pride themselves on a family-friendly atmosphere with spectators just as welcome as competitors. Alongside the sporting events, attendees can enjoy a barbecue, hot and cold drinks and children’s facepainting.
They have said that the aim is to create an event that feels as much like a community festival as a fitness competition.
