A MAN has been charged after attempting to smuggle Class A drugs into HMP Long Lartin by drone.
A package containing heroin and crack cocaine was intercepted on Sunday (January 4).
Joshua Morris of no fixed abode has been charged with four offences.
These are: possession of a Class A controlled drug – Heroin, possession of a Class A controlled drug – Crack Cocaine, conveying a list ‘A’ prohibited article into a prison and attempt to convey a list ‘B’ prohibited article into a prison.
The 32-year-old from Oldbury has been remanded in custody due to appear at Worcester Magistrates’ Court on Friday, January 9.
