Heartfelt thanks to all supporters - Christmas message from Vale Wildlife Hospital

As we draw a close to 2025 and welcome in 2026, I’d just like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has and continues to support Vale Wildlife Hospital.

Whether you volunteer your time with us, donate to us, or spread the word about the charity.

The last 12 months have had their share of challenges; avian influenza has impacted how we admit certain bird species.

We’ve dealt with record numbers of patients (as I write, we have admitted 7,979 patients into the hospital with 19 days left of 2025), but by far the biggest challenge continues to be the charity’s finances.

With running costs of over £75,000 a month and no Government funding, we rely solely on the support of people like you.

You are the reason we can continue to treat over 8,000 patients every year. You are the reason we can deliver our courses to veterinary professionals, carers, and rehabilitators to promote a standard in wildlife rehabilitation.

And, because of you, we can deliver talks to young people to help change the future for our precious British wildlife.

So, from all of us at Vale Wildlife Hospital, thank you.

Wishing all our supporters a very merry Christmas and a healthy, happy New Year.
