POLICE in Evesham are urging parents to talk to their children after the Rural Team have received reports of children playing ‘knock-door-run’ in Badsey.

They have warned that this activity might seem harmless to those involved, it needed to be understood that it can be extremely distressing for residents.

PC Alex Prentice said: “Being made to feel unsafe in your own home is not okay whether you’re young or elderly.

“For someone with mobility challenges or mental health concerns, this behaviour can have a devastating impact.”

He is asking that parents make sure children understand the consequences of these actions.

“It’s not fun for anyone, and it can cause real harm,” he added.

He said that the children involved have been captured on CCTV, and Police are working to identify them as soon as possible.

Persistent knocking and running can be dealt with as anti-social behaviour, potentially leading to Anti-Social Behaviour Injunctions or Criminal Behaviour Orders.
