AN EVESHAM optician is celebrating its 30th anniversary next week by offering customers the chance to win a Christmas hamper of festive treats.
To mark three decades on Bridge Street, the independently-owned shop is inviting customers to visit from now through to December 3 to purchase raffle tickets, with all proceeds donated to the Vale of Evesham Community First Responders.
The winning ticket will be drawn on the store’s official birthday on Thursday, December 4, and then the lucky recipient will be presented with a Fortnum & Mason hamper worth more than £100 and packed with Christmas goodies, including wine, chutney, and biscuits.
“We are incredibly proud to be celebrating our 30th anniversary,” said Anna Blyth, store director.
“It’s a major milestone, and we wanted to mark the occasion by giving back to the local community that has supported us for three decades.
“The raffle is a great way to get everyone involved and to support the Vale of Evesham First Responders, a brilliant local charity that does so much for our community.”
Vale of Evesham Community First Responders provide life-saving interventions in Evesham, Pershore, Broadway and the surrounding villages.
Working in partnership with the West Midlands Ambulance Service, the volunteers receive training to allow them to offer emergency medical care until the professional Ambulance Service arrives on scene.
