THE WOMBLES of Evesham have been at it again, with 11 volunteers joining a litter pick on November 15 along Worcester Road from Evesham railway station to Chadbury Farm Shop.
Enthusiastic volunteers filled a total of 13 bags of rubbish in two hours, discovered on paths and roads, including carpet, car trim, and bird garden ornaments.
The haul included a number of glass bottles and drinks cans that were plucked off the verges.

Also accomplished was the clearance of weeds on the pedestrian crossing by Next and Tesco.
Four blocked drains were also discovered and reported to Worcestershire County Council.
Organiser Laura Van Toller said she is hoping Evesham town councillors will help to stem the tide of rubbish and has written to the mayor, Councillor John Clatworthy, requesting each councillor organise an annual litter pick in their ward.
Anyone who wishes to join future litter picks should email Laura via [email protected] or contact the group via facebook.com/antilitterevesham.
