Kids go free at Valley railway this weekend

CHILDREN can travel for free on a popular railway attraction this November 22 and 23 with any full-paying adult.

Set within the popular Valley retail park at Twyford, the Valley Railway Adventure offers a mile-long journey through the autumn countryside aboard narrow-gauge trains, offering plenty of fresh air and nostalgia along the way.

The attraction is open every Saturday and Sunday throughout November, with the first train departing at 10.30am.

Adult tickets should be booked online in advance, and children travel for free on the same booking – no code is required.

“We know November can be a bit of a stretch for families, budgets are tight but there’s still that real need to get out, make memories and keep the kids entertained,” said Kat Nelson Brown at Valley Railway.

“It’s a small way we can help families enjoy some quality time together without extra costs.”

Valley Railway Adventure also dog-friendly, and with nearby riverside walks and access to nature reserves from the stations, making it a great day out for the whole family.

Founded in 2001, it consists of a fleet of three working steam engines and one diesel operating on a 15″ gauge track. It was previously known as Evesham Vale Light Railway.

Visitors are also encouraged to make a full day of it by exploring The Valley shops and eateries, or adding more adventure with high ropes and crazy golf at Aztec Adventure The Lost Valley nearby.
