HOMEMADE bakes went down a treat in Honeybourne village hall last Thursday (September 25) for a Macmillan Coffee Morning.
A packed venue had visitors clamouring for a cuppa and cakes in the name of a good cause which made £410 for the charity’s coffers.
Behind the event were a group of friends who get together every year to mark the annual occasion to help raise vital funds to support the almost 3.5 million people in the UK living with cancer.

Among the choice on offer were apple and almond, lemon drizzle, coffee and walnut, and chocolate cake.
One of the bakers, Ange Herbert said “The majority of them were homemade and delicious.
“We had a huge turnout with both rooms full of people.”
The women are motivated to do this year on year as they have all known someone who has died or been diagnosed with cancer.
