A CATALOGUE of anti-social behaviour from groups of children at an Evesham shopping centre is causing misery for shoppers and retail staff.

Reports of anti-social behaviour from a number of 11 to 14-years-old around Pets at Home at Four Pools Retail Park is ‘completely unacceptable’, police have said.

A series of incidents included damage to store signage, attempting to set signage on fire, throwing signs at customers, abusive behaviour towards staff and shoppers, blocking access to the store and refusing to leave when asked.

A spokesperson from Evesham Police said: “This behaviour is completely unacceptable and is causing serious disruption and distress.

“Hanging around a pet store should not involve intimidating staff or customers. Please do not act like animals – let’s show respect for our community and each other.”

The force has asked for parents or guardians of a child who may be spending time in this area, to speak with them about respectful conduct in public spaces.
