BRETFORTON Show organisers are hoping the crowds will turn out in force once more, as it returns to the historic grounds of Bretforton Manor near Evesham, this Saturday (September 13).
Last year, nearly 2,000 visitors streamed in to enjoy the traditional village show, which raises money for a number of Worcestershire charities, including St Richard’s Hospice, as well as local good causes.
As always, this year’s show is shaping up to be a fun-filled afternoon for the whole family with lots to see and do for all ages.
Attractions include the exhibition of horticultural entries from the fruit and veg show, performances from Bretforton Silver Band, a display of vintage and Second World War vehicles, craft stalls, refreshments, and a real ale tent courtesy of The Fleece Inn.
The popular Evesham Rangers Air Gun League will be there, as well as a variety of activities to keep little ones entertained, from face painting and storytelling to pony rides.
There’s also a chance to look around the stunning gardens of Bretforton Manor, which dates back to the 1600s and is not usually open to the public.
Chair of the organising committee, Kate Buckham, said “We were blessed with great weather and a bumper crowd last year, with one visitor saying ‘it was the best village Show she’d ever been to’.
“The forecast isn’t so good this year, but we’re confident that whatever the weather, our visitors will have a wonderful afternoon.”
