A PROLIFIC shoplifter from Pershore has been sentenced at court for 16 weeks following a successful investigation by Pershore Safer Neighbourhood Team.
David Gubbins, 46, of no fixed abode, appeared before Kidderminster Magistrates Court on August 28 and charged with four counts of theft.
Sergeant Duncan Eades, of Pershore SNT, said: “The result reflects the dedication and persistence of our officers in tackling repeat offending that causes harm to local businesses.
“Shoplifting is not a victim-less crime as it impacts livelihoods and confidence in the community. We will continue to work closely with retailers to ensure Pershore remains a safe and welcoming space for everyone.”
