LIVE BLOG - Vale students are hopeful on GCSE results day

Sonny Rackham 21st Aug, 2025   0

AFTER a hard fought two years, Evesham’s GCSE students arrive at schools across the region to collect their results and find out if all their hard work has paid off.

Pupils will be hoping they’ve got the grades they need to progress onto sixth-form, college or other training and employment.

GCSE results are graded from level 9 to 1 rather than the previous alphabetical grading of A to E.

The school’s head is pleased to congratulate his students on their hard fought results. A total of 64 per cent of grades were at minimum a pass (4+), with 46 per cent at a strong pass (5+) and 15 per cent of grades at 7+.

Overall, 60 per cent of students achieved 5 grades at 4+. The School’s Attainment 8 score is 43.6.

Head of school, Andrew Nockton said: “I am so pleased to congratulate our fabulous students on their GCSE results. They have worked very hard and this has paid off with really well-deserved results.

“I would like to pay tribute to the teachers and other staff, who have supported the students so well through their journey at PHS and helped them to achieve their grades.

“We wish the students every success for their futures, whether here in the Sixth Form, at other local colleges and sixth forms, or with an Apprenticeship provider.”
