WEST WORCESTERSHIRE MP Dame Harriett Baldwin took time to thank the extensive volunteer network which offers help, guidance and assistance to local people in the heart of Pershore.

The MP visited the Pershore Wellbeing Hub on the town’s high street to talk to volunteers and learn about the ‘important’ assistance they offer to people of all ages.

Volunteers advise people about how to access support, offer technology support and signpost to services that people may need to access from healthcare to financial worries.

Dame Harriett said: “It is so heartening to see the high numbers of local people who are willing to volunteer their time to staff a high street advice centre for people.

“Often the biggest obstacle to getting help is fear of asking and the hard-working volunteers are on hand to lend an ear and some sage advice for local people.

“Pershore is full of big-hearted resident who give their time to help others. This is clearly a highly valued resource.”
