A NEW shop window art trail exploring all things asparagus has launched in Evesham.
The vibrant Vale of Evesham Asparagus Season is in full swing and both residents and visitors are invited to the town’s exciting shop window art trail until June 21.
An illustrated trail map can be downloaded from the Visit Evesham website, or a printed version can be collected at any of the 20 participating businesses or at the Tourist Information Centre located in the Almonry Museum.
This engaging project encourages individuals to explore local shops, collect unique stickers, and uncover hidden words as they complete the challenge, all while appreciating the creative, asparagus-themed displays enhancing the community’s shop windows.
Councillor Richard Morris, leader of Wychavon and executive board member for economic growth and tourism, said, “The trail is a great way to discover the independent businesses in Evesham and enjoy the local asparagus season, and we would like to encourage everyone to take part in this celebration.”
The captivating artwork, crafted by the talented Catt Standen, effectively showcases the richness of Evesham’s local culture. The scheme has been funded through Wychavon’s share of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
Tom Tarver, chair of the Evesham Place Board, said: “We recognise the dedication of Evesham businesses striving to welcome more visitors year-round.
“It’s truly rewarding to be part of an initiative that positively impacts them. Together, we can make a difference and uplift our community.”
