VOLUNTEERS are wanted to help keep Evesham town centre spick and span this weekend.
Anti-Litter Evesham is supporting the Great British Spring Clean campaign on Sunday, March 23 and wants as many people with a spare couple of hours to join them.
Now in its eighth year, the Great British Spring Clean is Keep Britain Tidy’s annual national clean-up campaign which takes place from March 21 to April 6.
Group coordinator Laura Van Toller said: ““There is no excuse for any litter to be dropped however, we chose to take direct action and not walk past.
“We look forward to meeting old and new ‘wombling’ volunteers who chose to litter pick in their own free time.”
Participants should meet at 10am in Market Place by the doors to Evesham Town Hall. Bags and all litter-picking equipment will be provided.
