POLICE officer turned comedian Alfie Moore is heading to Evesham with his new stand up show ‘A Face for Radio’, writes Gabrielle Brown.
The event will take place at Evesham Town Hall at 7.30pm on March 23.
The show will feature hilarious stories about Moore and his policing partner Zeus the German shepherd, along with thought-provoking views on policing, ageing and family.
Alfie said: “I always love visiting Evesham.
“I’ve previewed my Edinburgh shows here in the past and am now excited to bring my tour show to the lovely Evesham audience”
Star of BBC Radio 4’s hit comedy ‘It’s a Fair Cop’, Moore wonders if – having reached 57 and with more than 20 years of shift work behind him – could he make the transition from radio to TV?
But, he said, being the wrong side of 50, the two decades of shift work and having frequently being punched had ‘really left him with a face for radio’.
Audiences can expect what is described as ‘a true story about aging and ageism that is both personal and packed with punchline’.
David Mitchell described Alfie as: ‘brilliantly funny – genuinely hilarious’
