WEST Mercia rural team have been out and about across Evesham to engage with the younger generation.
PC Prentice, PC Trowman and PCSO Harris visited Badsey First School where they were met with 20 pupils who asked lots of interesting questions with a big focus on two key words, ‘Safe’ and ‘Help’.
PC Prentice visited pupils at Cleeve Prior C of E Primary School where she sat down with the children who were busy writing about the nativity.
She then went on to hold her usual two weekly drop-in session at Blackminster Middle School along with PCSO Kempton.
Bredon Hill Academy also held the first of many drop in sessions and we were absolutely blown away with the number of children that came to see us.
In excess of 60 children came in for a chat and various topics were discussed including social media, mobile phone usage, apps, electric scooters and general questions regarding our role in the community and how to join the police.
PC Prentice said: “This was certainly one of the busiest drop ins we have ever held so thank you the children and staff enough for facilitating this.
“Just a reminder to parents, it was quite clear lots of children have put an electric scooter on their Christmas list.
“We have informed Santa that these are illegal unless used on private land and with owners consent.”
