EVESHAM RFC secured back-to-back wins for the first time this season with a 34-10 victory against local rivals Alcester.
The home side dominated throughout to seal a second victory at Blind Lane this campaign.
And the result means Evesham sit sixth in the Counties 1 Midlands West (South) table.
Evesham scored the game’s first try with a well-executed catch-and-drive at a lineout.
And the home side struck again soon after to take an early 12-point lead.
Alcester reduced the deficit with a penalty after an Evesham player received a yellow card.
Evesham kicked a penalty of their own at the start of the second half before Alcester scored their only try of the game in the corner to close the gap to five points.
However, Evesham took the game out of Alcester’s reach with three further tries to claim the derby day spoils.
Evesham are next in action against Barkers Butts on Saturday, November 9 at Pickford Grange Lane.
