AN EVESHAM business is celebrating its move into a bigger office within a historic building with iconic literary connections.
Gallery Properties, owned by Mariola Rusiecka and Lukasz Rusiecki, has been providing property management services from Dresden House since 2016.
The 17th Century property in High Street is noted for its connection to Edith Tolkien, wife of JRR Tolkien, who lived there as a pupil when it was a girls’ boarding school.
The latest development represents a significant milestone for the business as it continues to grow in both reach and reputation, having initially started up Evesham Letting Agents in 2010 from the couple’s living room before moving to Port Street in 2014.
The move was marked on October 25 with a visit by the mayor of Evesham, Councillor Robert Raphael and MP for Droitwich and Evesham, Nigel Huddleston along with client landlords and tenants.
Lukasz Rusiecki told the Observer: “We started small but with a big vision 14 years ago and then made a bold decision to take over a struggling business – a venture that demanded hard work and dedication.
“Thankfully, we managed to keep every existing client on board, and their trust became the bedrock of our journey. It’s an absolute privilege to serve the community of Evesham, where our journey began.
“Together with Mariola and our committed team, we’re excited to continue growing and supporting our clients with the same trust and dedication that’s brought us this far.”
The couple employ two people and plan to further expand the business by taking on an additional full time member of staff. They also pride themselves on offering work experience to young people.
“It’s wonderful to see local businesses like Gallery Properties not only succeeding but growing and investing back into Evesham,” added Mr Huddleston.
“I wish Mariola, Lukasz, and the entire team at Gallery Properties every success as they continue to go from strength to strength.”
