PERSHORE’S community arts centre continues to entertain this half term with events, event cinema and film screenings. young people and families.
On Tuesday, October 29, the Lempen Puppet Theatre Company’s Cardboard Carnival: The Carnival of the Animals takes inspiration from the music by Camille Saint-Saëns, a little help from Charles Darwin, and a whole lot of cardboard to mash up a show full of puppet possibility at 2pm.
The fun and imaginative visual production with no dialogue, focused on the simple magic of puppetry and promises to be an inspiration and delight for everyone from four to 104.

The entertainment continues on Wednesday, October 30 with a screening of the animated adaptation of Michael Murpurgo’s Kensuke’s Kingdom (PG) at 2pm which follows the epic adventure of Michael, a boy shipwrecked on a remote island.
For older children and their grown-ups there will be a Halloween screening of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice on Thursday, October 31 at 7.30pm.
Young filmgoers can join Ozi, a little orangutan, in a quest to find his parents and raise awareness about the destruction of the rainforest in the animated adventure Ozi: Voice of the Forest (PG) on Friday, November 1 at 11am.
