Storytelling folk duo in tune for two gigs

AWARD-winning Anglo-Scottish duo Janice Burns and Jon Doran will be lighting up the Evesham area with two gigs in October and December.

They come on the back of overwhelmingly positive feedback for their debut album ‘No More Green Fields’ finding its place in the Official UK Folk Chart and gaining airplay throughout the UK and internationally, on stations such as BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio Scotland.

Folk songs have always travelled and Janice and Jon bring together songs that have survived through the ages, shape-shifting and adapting to changing environments as they’ve gone from singer to singer.

Their musical storytelling is alive with tight vocal harmonies and sensitive interplay between mandolin, bouzouki, and guitar.

They play Ashton Under Hill near Evesham on Saturday, October 19 as part of the Live & Local programme which is backed by Wychavon District Council and Worcestershire County Council.

Tickets are £12.50 on the door. You can bring your own drinks.

They then return for ‘Festive Folk’ at The Fleece Inn Barn near Evesham on Thursday, December 12.

Tickets for this gig are £15 by visiting the Ticket Tailor website here.
