Outdoor Activities in Evesham

One underrated option to try out whilst in Evesham is fishing. If you’re wondering why specifically, well, it’s all due to the fact that it can be a great way to enjoy River Avon and the area around it. Plus, fishing has been gaining popularity in recent years, at least as per The Guardian. This can even be evidenced through its depictions in various mediums such as jackpot games available in online casinos. One specific example we can use is Fishin’ Pots of Gold, a popular title in the slot category.

For those looking to stay next to water, but don’t want to just fish, then a visit to the Lenches Lakes is a must. You’ll get to enjoy a wide variety of activities, such as swimming, staying in a Yurt on the lake, or camping. With forty acres to walk through, complete with two beautiful lakes, fields, and woodlands – the views will be nothing short of spectacular.

If this doesn’t sound quite up your street, maybe a more casual stroll through the nearby areas or through a park will be ideal. In this case, we do have one very unique recommendation that will take your nature-seeking self to the next level, and that’s checking out the Cotswold Vale Alpacas establishment. As you probably guessed, this is an Alpaca farm, that offers a variety of packs such as an Alpaca Experience visit with Alpaca walking.

Culinary Delights in Evesham

A fun fact about the Vale of Evesham is that it is renowned for its produce, and more specifically, its asparagus. So, since it is known for this, it shouldn’t surprise you that there are plenty of culinary options one can savor. Here, the farm-to-table experience isn’t just a trend but more of a standard everyone tries to uphold.

If you’re a local or staying somewhere that has a kitchen, we’d suggest visiting one of its food markets to get some of the freshest ingredients to cook something delicious. Alternatively, if you’re not much of a cook or simply don’t have the option to do so, there are plenty of establishments you should add to your must-try list. Some great spots we’d like to mention are Jelly Pickle Jam Afternoon Tea, Round of Gras, and The Royal Oak.

Finally, we have to mention the Evesham Food Festival, an annual event that typically occurs at the start of summer. It’s the perfect occasion to enjoy the produce from the area, whilst supporting local businesses. But there is more to this event than just eating, for instance, this year it also had a live cooking display, along with a chilli eating contest, and more.
