THE HUNGARIAN flag has been flown above Evesham Fire Station to celebrate its diverse workforce.
As the team have a Hungarian firefighter – Zoltan Kalmar – on their watch, they took advantage of ‘designated double flag day’ for government buildings.
The Hungarian flag was flown on the country’s national day on August 20.
Zoltan has been at Evesham for two years and has followed in the footsteps of his father who was a firefighter in Hungary for 30 years.
Watch Commander Nick Tuckwell said: ““Having a Hungarian firefighter on our watch, we thought it only right to do this and celebrate the importance of a diverse work force.”
