ILLEGAL tobacco and vapes were seized when police and trading standards raided shops on Evesham high street yesterday (May 25).
A tobacco dog helped police locate the illegal goods in two of the three stores visited during the operation.
Electronic vapes containing illegal levels of nicotine as well as counterfeit and smuggled tobacco were seized by Evesham Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) and Worcestershire Trading Standards during the raids.
Police sometimes rely on information from residents to carry out these types of raids and urge anyone with information about other stores selling illegal goods to get in contact.
