Met Office forecast minus 5°C for Worcestershire as temperatures plummet

Evesham Editorial 7th Dec, 2022   0

TEMPERATURES are set to plummet further across Worcestershire in the coming days with a forecast high of zero this weekend.

After a morning which has seen many scraping their cars for the first time this winter, forecasters have revealed the cold snap is set to continue.

And while the air temperature is set to climb above zero, the arctic winds will make it feel below freezing into the weekend and early next week.

The Met Office’s forecast for the West Midlands, which includes Worcestershire, suggests temperatures will drop as low as minus five tonight with a widespread and sharp frost forming under clear skies.

Tomorrow (Thursday) will see a frosty but sunny start, and plenty of sunshine through the day with a high of three degrees Celsius.

The weekend will see it remain cold but generally dry with spells of sunshine by day and widespread sharp frosts overnight.

There is a risk of a few wintry showers on Friday (December 9) according to the forecast.
