Risk of thunderstorms as Met Office issue yellow weather warning

WORCESTERSHIRE has again been bathed in summer sunshine today but forecasters have warned of the risk of thunderstorms tomorrow (Thursday)

A yellow weather warning has been issued from 10am until midnight with the increasing June heat likely to trigger storms, particularly tomorrow afternoon.

The warning covers a vast swathe of England and Wales with the Met Office warning thunderstorms and torrential downpours may cause travel disruption and, in a few places, flooding.

Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures, according to forecasters.

A dry, sunny warm morning in Evesham and Pershore will see a change at lunchtime with clouds bubbling up.

The Met Office currently forecasts a 50 per cent change of showers or rain between 3pm and 8pm tomorrow afternoon.
