A DRUG dealer has been jailed for more than four years after being stopped by police near Cleeve Prior with a kilo of cocaine in his car.

Tor Ymeri, 40, from Kings Road, London, was halted by police on Evesham Road on April 1 after travelling from the capital to Worcestershire

He was found guilty of possession with intent to supply at Worcester Crown Court on Monday (June 13) and was sentenced to four years and four months in prison.

Detective Constable Naomi Smith from the Regional Organised Crime Unit said: “Bringing drugs into our counties will receive a zero-tolerance response. These organised gangs are profiting from the misery of others and the harm and serious consequences their actions cause our communities will not be tolerated.

“The seriousness of his crime is reflected in the sentence handed down to Ymeri and it doesn’t matter what role you play in trafficking and selling drugs, if you bring them into West Mercia we will do everything in our power to stop you and bring you to justice.”
