HUNDREDS of thousands have been drawn to a live stream showing planes attempting to land at Heathrow Airport during Storm Eunice.
While it’s not the best viewing for those with a fear of flying, more than 100,000 viewers have tuned into Big Jet TV this afternoon (Friday) to watch skilled pilots battling wind speeds of more than 70mph at the country’s biggest airport.
A red ‘danger to life’ weather warning for wind is currently in place for London and much of the south.
The man narrating the stream, named Jerry, has been providing people with commentary – speculating whether the pilot is going to be able to land the plane.
And his efforts have been noticed on Twitter with many people – some of who have taken the advice to avoid travelling themselves – sharing their appreciation of the skills shown by the brave pilots and the sympathy for all those on board.
Richard Holmes said: “Watching BA nail these landings one after the other is the most proud I’ve been to be British in a while #BigJetTv “
