TALENTED members of Evesham’s Festival Players will take to the stage over the coming days for a Covid-safe pantomime…..oh yes they will!!
While the arts has been decimated because of the Coronavirus pandemic, the youngsters of The Festival Players wanted to do a pantomime for Christmas as they did last year.
Last year the group offered a free pantomime to parents and children at Evesham Town Hall which could not be repeated this year due to restrictions on the Town Hall itself.
So, they are off to Pershore’s Number 8 to present Babes in the Wood from tonight (Thursday) until Saturday (December 19).
After just three rehearsals before the second lockdown, they had just nine days before their dress rehearsal and barely fifteen days before their first performance at 7pm tonight. The panto is just an hour long with no interval and a small cast, with audiences socially distanced.
