Celebration of silver screen on offer outdoors

Evesham Editorial 29th Aug, 2020   0

FILM lovers will be able to sample the silver screen in the great outdoors with two outdoor movie events being funded by Wychavon District Council.

Three outdoor cinemas will be taking place across Worcestershire’s Vale & Spa with each town hosting a classic film.

The 10 metre inflatable screens will be provided by Open Air Film and Chill; providing a family-friendly and safe way to relax.

With a different film each day and showings starting at 8pm, council chiefs hope film-goers will dine out at restaurants across the Vale or put together a picnic using local produce; then grab a chair or blanket ready for the ‘curtain’ to go up.

Monsters Inc will be shown in Pershore’s Abbey Park on Friday (September 4) while Droitwich’s King George Playing Fields plays host to the Lion King the following night.

The celebration of cinema comes to a close comes to an end next Sunday (September 6) when The Greatest Showman graces the screen at Corporation Meadow in Evesham.
