CHARITY chiefs at Evesham and District Mental Health Support Services have revealed a night at the movies is on offer to help raise vital funds to support its services.
The popular charity has teamed up with The Regal to show the Tom Hanks film A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood on Thursday, September 17 from 6pm.
Organisers hope the event will provide a vital shot in the arm for the service which has been inundated during the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic with local people needing support.
Despite being unable to reopen fully because of ongoing restrictions, EDMHSS has opened up a helpline seven days a week from 9am to 9pm thanks to donations from the National Lottery, Worcestershire Community Foundation and Tesco.
According to the service, a large number of Evesham residents have contacted the helpline in recent weeks to reveal their anxiety at returning to normal life.
A counselling service on Mondays and Fridays has reopened but support groups on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays remain suspended due to the ongoing restrictions.
